Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter (unsalted)
  • 500 grams ricotta cheese
  • ½ teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups milk powder (full cream)
  • 4 tablespoons almonds and pistachios (sliced)
  • edible silver leaves (chandi warq) (for garnishing)

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat and add the ricotta cheese.
  • Stir until well combined.
  • Add cardamom powder and sugar.
  • Stir until the sugar is completely melted and well incorporated.
  • Add the milk powder and mix thoroughly.
  • Add half of the sliced almonds and pistachios.
  • Cook, stirring continuously over medium heat, until the mixture thickens and forms a dough-like consistency that moves together as a single mass.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased tray and spread evenly.
  • Garnish with the remaining sliced nuts.
  • Apply edible silver leaves (chandi warq) and let it cool completely.
  • Cut into square or diamond-shaped pieces. Enjoy! And remember “COOKING IS EASY!”

Notes

  • Cook on low to medium heat.
  • Stir continuously to avoid lumps.
  • You can easily double or triple this recipe.
  • Let it rest for 3 to 4 hours before cutting for best results.
