Ingredients

  • 8 slices bread (whole grain)
  • 150 grams minced beef (cooked)
  • ½ cup capsicum (chopped)
  • ½ cup sweet corn (kernels)
  • ½ cup olives (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon butter (unsalted)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix the minced beef, capsicum, corn, olives, ketchup, salt, black pepper, red chilli powder, oregano, and basil.
  • Preheat the sandwich maker and lightly butter both sides. Place one slice of bread inside.
  • Spoon the prepared mixture onto the bread, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Do not overfill, as the mixture may ooze out during cooking.
  • Place another slice of bread on top, close the sandwich maker tightly, and cook until golden brown on both sides.
  • Serve hot with ketchup, fries, or onion rings. Enjoy! And remember “COOKING IS EASY!”

Notes

  • Instead of mozzarella, you can use any good melting cheese.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like mushrooms for added nutrition. Avoid tomatoes as they release too much moisture and can make the sandwich soggy.
  • If there’s excess fat in the beef, drain it through a sieve.
  • You can substitute minced chicken for beef if preferred.
