How to Make Chicken Tikka Burger
If you love tikka flavour as much as I do, then this recipe of delicious chicken tikka burger with a twist of tikka is for you!
I realized that I have never shared the recipe of burger on my blog so I thought to share my favourite recipe that can be made under half an hour for quick, hearty and tasty weeknight dinner when you have burger buns on hand. If not, grab them any nearby super store. These tikka burgers are perfect for a family-pleasing dinner! They are cheaper, healthier and taste even better than take out! These beautiful looking, moist and flavourful burgers are the easiest way to get family favourite dinner on the table quickly!

Can I make it in advance?
- You can marinate the chicken in advance and then store in refrigerator for up to 2 days or in freezer up to 2 months in an airtight container. Be sure to thaw it out in the refrigerator before cooking.

Recipe Tips:
- If you have access to grill, I recommend grilling the chicken for better taste.
- You can also cook the chicken in grill pan for that beautiful char.
- The chicken can be marinated ahead of time (it stays fresh in the refrigerator up to 2 days).
- You can substitute the burger buns be with lettuce leaves, if avoiding carbs.

Ingredients
For Chicken Tikka:
- 500 grams chicken (boneless, cut into long thick strips)
- 2 tablespoons yogurt
- 1 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt (or to taste)
- 1 tablespoon tikka masala
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
For the Sauce:
- 1 cup iceberg lettuce (shredded)
- 1 cup cucumbers (julienned)
- ½ teaspoon red chili powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard sauce
For Assembling:
- 4 burger buns (split, lightly toasted)
- lettuce leaves (roughly torn, as needed)
- 1 cup cucumber (thinly sliced)
- 1 cup tomatoes (thinly sliced)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine chicken, yogurt, salt, tikka masala, and red chili flakes. Mix well and set aside to marinate.
- Meanwhile, prepare the sauce by mixing iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, red chili powder, black pepper powder, mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard sauce in a bowl.
- Cook the marinated chicken in a pan until golden brown on both sides and fully cooked through.
- To assemble the burgers, spread some prepared sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Add cooked chicken, then layer with sliced cucumbers and tomatoes. Add lettuce leaves and top with the other half of the bun. Your tikka burger is ready.
- Serve on a platter with extra sauce or ketchup on the side. Enjoy! And Remember “COOKING IS EASY!”
Notes
- If you have access to a grill, grilling the chicken adds a great smoky flavor.
- A grill pan also works well for a nice charred finish.
