I realized that I have never shared the recipe of burger on my blog so I thought to share my favourite recipe that can be made under half an hour for quick, hearty and tasty weeknight dinner when you have burger buns on hand. If not, grab them any nearby super store. These tikka burgers are perfect for a family-pleasing dinner! They are cheaper, healthier and taste even better than take out! These beautiful looking, moist and flavourful burgers are the easiest way to get family favourite dinner on the table quickly!

Can I make it in advance?
- You can marinate the chicken in advance and then store in refrigerator for up to 2 days or in freezer up to 2 months in an airtight container. Be sure to thaw it out in the refrigerator before cooking.

- Leftover chicken can be stored in refrigerator for 3 days and freezer up to 2 months in an airtight container. It can be used in salads or sandwiches later.

Recipe Tips:
- If you have access to grill, I recommend grilling the chicken for better taste.
- You can also cook the chicken in grill pan for that beautiful char.
- The chicken can be marinated ahead of time (it stays fresh in the refrigerator up to 2 days).
- You can substitute the burger buns be with lettuce leaves, if avoiding carbs.

Ingredients
For Chicken Tikka:
- Chicken (boneless, cut in long thick strips) – 500 grams
- Yogurt – 2 tablespoons
- Pink Himalayan Salt – 1 teaspoon or to taste
- Tikka Masala – 1 tablespoon
- Red Chili Flakes – 1 teaspoon
For the Sauce:
- Iceberg Lettuce (shredded) – 1 cup
- Cucumbers (julienned) – 1 cup
- Red Chili Powder – ½ teaspoon
- Black Pepper Powder – ½ teaspoon
- Mayonnaise – 3 tablespoons
- Ketchup – 1 tablespoon
- Mustard Sauce – 1 tablespoon
For Assembling:
- Burger Buns (split, lightly toasted) – 4
- Lettuce Leaves (roughly teared) – as required
- Cucumber (thinly sliced) – 1 cup
- Tomatoes (thinly sliced) – 1 cup
Instructions
Step by step recipe is given below:
- In a bowl, add chicken, yogurt, salt, tikka masala and red chili flakes. Mix them well and set aside.
- Meanwhile, prepare the sauce by mixing iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, red chili powder, black pepper powder, mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard sauce in a separate bowl.
- Then cook the marinated chicken in a pan until golden brown on both sides.
- Now for assembling, put some prepared sauce on the one half of bun, then place the chicken and then arrange sliced cucumbers and tomatoes in layers over it. Top with the other half of bun and your tikka burger is ready.
Transfer to a platter, serve with Ketchup or the Prepared Sauce. Enjoy! And Remember ‘COOKING IS EASY’!
