Lassi is a chilled and healthy drink made with yoghurt. It’s a perfect beverage to cool you off on a hot summer day. This cumin lassi is a most liked traditional yoghurt drink mostly taken in lunch in Pakistan. It is a perfect beverage to cool you off after a day in sun.
This mint cumin lassi with the freshness of mint and a bit of sweetener has a cooling and refreshing characteristic along with digestive properties of cumin. Mint is an ideal ingredient to use in summer recipes. You only need to blend few ingredients from your kitchen together to prepare this creamy and delicious lassi in just a few minutes.
How to serve this cumin lassi?
- This cooling drink can be served with any desi (Pakistani/Indian) dish.
- You can also serve lassi with 2 to 3 tablespoons of whipped butter on top.
- This lassi can be topped with fresh mint leaves and cumin powder.
How to store this cumin lassi?
Store the leftover lassi in the refrigerator for up to 2 days in a sealed cup.
Recipe Notes:
- Make sure to use the yoghurt that is not sour.
- If you prefer a thinner consistency, add some water.
- For the authentic taste and creamy consistency, use full fat yoghurt.
- You can easily double or triple this recipe to make a larger batch.

- Yoghurt – 2 cups
- Mint Leaves – ¼ cup
- Cumin Powder – 1 teaspoon
- Black Salt – ½ teaspoon
- Sugar – 1 tablespoon
- Ice Cubes – 1 cup
- Milk – 1½ cup
Instructions
Step by step recipe is given below:
- Combine yoghurt, mint leaves, cumin powder, salt and sugar in a blender. Blend until smooth.
- Add ice cubes and milk. Blend again.
