Can I freeze these chicken puffs?

  • Yes! The good news is that they freeze well. It’s great to bake a larger batch of these patties and cool completely. Then arrange on a large tray and freeze them for few hours. Remove them from the tray and place in an airtight container. Store in a freezer for up to 3 months. Just thaw them on room temperature and then reheat (according to the reheating instructions below) whenever you want to consume them.

How to reheat these chicken puffs or patties?

These patties are best reheated in the oven or an Airfryer (on 160 °C for 7 to 8 minutes). If you reheat them in the microwave, they will lose their crunch and become soggy.

Tips and Tricks:

  • Temperature and cooking time may vary depending on oven so adjust accordingly.
  • The filling can be made ahead of time.
  • Used leftovers of the mince chicken to make sandwich or quick bread pizza.
  • You can use minced beef or mutton instead of chicken.
  • Use a sharp knife or cutter to cut the puff pastry sheets.
  • You can even make these patties in advance, refrigerate them and then bake whenever you want to eat them.
  • You can replace butter cheese slices with any type of cheese you want. I had butter cheese on hand so used that.
