Flavorful ingredients you’ll need to make mango lassi:
Which kind of mangoes should I use for mango lassi?
I would recommend using good quality, fully ripe mangoes. Pakistani/Indian honey mangoes are the best ones to use for this recipe as they are juicy, aromatic, sweet and rich in flavour. Which make them perfect for this recipe.
However, if you don’t have access to fresh mangoes, you can also use frozen mangoes or canned mango pulp.
How to serve this mango lassi?
Garnish it with mango cubes, mint leaves, pistachios and saffron strands. Serve it in breakfast with paratha and sabzi or as a light lunch or snack or as an accompaniment with main meals.
How long can I store it?
This lassi stays fresh in refrigerator up to 2 days in a sealed bottle. Just give it a good mix before serving and you are good to go.
Recipe Notes:
- I used my blender to blend this smoothie but can also use hand mixer for blending.
- Use chilled ingredients if you’re serving the lassi immediately. You can also add few ice cubes.
- Adjust sugar to your taste. You can also use honey, maple syrup or stevia instead of brown sugar.
- Avoid using sour yogurt for the best taste.
- You can also add few scoops of mango ice-cream for richest consistency.
- If lassi is too thick for you, just thin it down to the consistency you prefer by adding either cold milk or water.
- To make this lassi vegan, use almond, cashew or coconut milk and yogurt as alternatives.
